Hi I’m Lucy Axon,
Here at Lucy’s Therapy Space in Cheltenham, I offer a calm, confidential setting where you can take time to talk openly, reflect and begin to make sense of whatever challenges you are facing. Whether you’re an adult navigating stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or change, a young person struggling at school, home or with friendships, or a parent or carer supporting a child with disabilities and/or additional needs, this is a space where I will listen to and respect all of your experiences.
I have personal experience of parenting a child, who is now an adult, with severe physical and learning disabilities. I know just how hard that journey can be as you navigate their childhood with them, help transition them into adulthood, and support them to move into alternative accommodation.
My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative and sometimes a little humorous where appropriate! I have been through my own fair share of traumatic experiences and know how hard it can be to reach out when times are tough. It takes enormous courage to first admit we need help and then take a step to find it. You have landed on my website, so that’s an amazing start! Together, we can explore what’s going on for you and work towards a greater understanding, resilience, and improved well-being.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan – just a willingness to begin.

About Me
I have a diploma in Counselling Adults, Children & Young People from TalkWell (formerly known as TIC+). I work as a counsellor for a local agency as well as in my private practice.
I also work as a Coordinator for a business that provides therapy to adults, children and young people, specialising in therapy for adoption families.
Before training as a counsellor, I attained a degree in Theology at Aberystwyth University, and then I went on to have children and became a full-time carer to my eldest child until he left home.
In my spare time, I love to play the piano and crochet (not at the same time!) and binge-watch a good TV series.
